Digital Force and its graphics design team of Mario German and Stephanie
Chung have been honored for outstanding achievement in the following
categories:
BEST CD PACKAGE, Jazz
NYU Jazz Orchestra Plays the Music of Teo Macero
This album featured original artwork
by Ellen Colcord and liner notes by David Schroeder.
“This album features many unique creative forces,“ said
Jerome Bunke, President of Digital Force. The music was written by
one of the legendary producers of our time--Teo Macero (Dave Brubeck’s
“Time Out”--one of many formidable credentials).
“For the visuals, we were extremely fortunate to have access
to the original paintings of the talented Ellen Colcord. The total
concept was to combine all of these attributes into a seamless, cohesive
production. The fact that we are a finalist among the legends Chet
Baker, Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, and Marcus Miller is testament to
the devotion and care that our entire organization brings to each
and every project.”
BEST CD PACKAGE, Classical
ONE by Michael Torke
Performed by the musicians of the
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra - David Zinman, conductor.
ONE is a contemporary work presented as a series of 5 pieces - Green,
Purple, Ecstatic Orange, Ash and Bright Blue Music. The artistry of
ONE astounds in how elequently the composer's synesthetic perception
of music is conveyed. Composer Michael Torke, fascinatingly enough,
sees colors involuntarily when he hears music. ONE is his brilliant
attempt at showing his colors to the world.
Four of the five pieces were choreographed by Peter Martins for the
New York City Ballet.
BEST PROMOTIONAL CD/DVD MARKETING
